Today my friends son-in-law left for war. We went for a walk around the lake at the park and she shared who he was from the inside. She talked about how much they have grown to love him and about moments and memories shared of laughter, hurt, & tears of both joy and pain. He has a little one at home who is 3 yrs old who Grandma just adores.
"Flat Stanley" is going on the mission too and they will be gone for about 8 months.
I pray for their safe return, strength, mental health, endurance, & physical bodies. I pray the Lord's protection and peace that He alone can provide for them and their families. Our hearts ache for them. It wasn't suppose to be this way. The Lord is in control and His timing and His ways are just. Do not fear, God is near, God is here.
I pray for all soldiers everywhere most of all that they come to know the Lord who saves them and is preparing a place in heaven for them with the most magnificient rewards.
